Ways to get More Targeted Twitter Followers - 17 Killer Ways to Increase Your Twitter Following12/18/2018 Ok, therefore i might be a little radical here, but I'll go ahead and argue that Twitter is more of a quantity game than it is an excellent game. That isn't to say that you don't want targeted Tweets followers. I wouldn't have written this post normally.
In any case, I can't think of any unwanted effects to having a lot of followers on Twitter. It generally does not cost you anything to have more followers enjoy it does to truly have a larger email list. Just make sure you follow back the social people you want to connect with so they can DM you. Otherwise you're passing up on a big benefit of Twitter. With that being said you'll still want to visit try to get targeted followers so I'm not going to talk about followback lists or car adding tools or anything like this. I'm discussing getting legit followers that want to hear you. Many of them may happen naturally, but some you shall have to seek out. Keep in mind throughout this list that regarding to Dan Zarrella of Hubspot, and the writer of the SOCIAL MEDIA Book you want to attempt to keep the follower count greater than your following count number. Data shows that people are less likely to follow you if you have more when compared to a 1:1 pursuing to follower proportion. Typically people won't follow you back after 3 times. To get the people who aren't following you check out Tweets Karma. It's a free of charge tool that works legally (right now) with the Twitter API. With that being said. Here's the set of ways to get more targeted twitter followers. 1.) Find the most influential people in your market and check out their supporters. Follow their followers. These are likely people who would like to follow you (Suggestion: If you @mention their name before you follow them you will raise the chance that they can follow you back). Careful never to follow too many people at once or you'll violate the 1:1 rule and appearance spammy. Try to make this a natural process. Keep it to 20 a full day roughly. This is a great task for a VA to do for you. 2.) Utilize hashtags when publishing updates. This allows people who are looking that term find you easier. Don't spam hashtags. Try to keep it to a potential of two per revise and make sure you toss in hashtagless (yes, I made that a term) updates every once in awhile. 3.) Use search.tweets.com or the tweets search box to find folks who are tweeting about your specific search terms. For example if you want to Tweet about health you might search, diet, exercise, fitness, biggest loser, etc. Follow these social people and expect a follow back again. Most Twitter management tools such as TweetDeck have a search feature built in that does the same thing. 4.) Take part in events which make us of Tweets hashtags - Many webinars and even live occasions such as #IMS (Inbound Marketing Summit) in the public mass media and internet marketing space use hashtags that allow users to touch upon Twitter about their experiences. You may get the attention of the great deal of new followers this way, not forgetting learn a great deal. 5.) Get yourself a custom bumper sticker or t-shirt made with @Yourtwittername on it (Caution: Only do that if you are comfortable with being recognized as an entire geek) 6.) Use a Twitter scheduling tool to tweet throughout the day. The more you use Twitter (and offer quality tweets), the more followers you are going to have, simple and plain. Different people are on Twitter at different times, quite randomly usually. Most people can't be on Twitter all day, nor do they want to be. It can be one hell of the distraction. Scheduling tweets in advance will allow you to be at least somewhat active all day instead of in 10 minute Tweet bursts. There are a ton of tools out there that let you schedule Tweets. I favor TweetDeck for its simplicity. Get right up a few momemts early just, schedule 10 tweets roughly and hit the street. 7.) Be visible! Put your @username on your business cards, email signature, LinkedIn profile, Facebook web page, blog, espresso mug, lunchbox, mousepad, forehead tattoo, etc. Certainly I'm being truly a little outrageous here, nevertheless, you get the theory. Just make your @username noticeable in a lot of places. 8.) Speak at an event or host a Webinar - If you are visible in the public eye you should be tossing your Twitter name out there. If not positively, just post it somewhere where people can see it (like as a watermark on your slides). Following someone on Tweets is the easiest thing in the world to do. Don't just put up an indicator that says follow me on Twitter though. This is a mistake a lot of individuals make. Write our your @username actually. Make it for people to find you easy! 9.) Become Verified - So this one only works for highly recognizable figures or people who are in danger of being impersonated, but if you are in this special interest group this is a genuine way to 1, protect yourself against being impersonated, and two, get a ton of new fans. People gravitate to verified accounts so if you're a huge name and you are not verified go here to Verify Your Twitter Account. 10.) Get retweeted and mentioned - That one is a bit more tricky since it entails being good at Tweeting, but fundamentally if you put out good useful content and you are kind in @mentioning others you will get mentions and tweets yourself. Once you have developed some Twitter associations you can send text messages to your supporters asking that they @talk about you with their followers to check out you. Check out DanZarrella's Research of Retweets record on danzarrella.com if you would like to find out more about getting retweeted. 11.) Create a cool background - In the event that you know a designer or if you're good at design yourself make sure your Twitter history is sleek, cool, and professional looking (take note the smart use of subjective terminology). There are numerous custom history services online that can do this for you for some bucks. Just Google "custom twitter background" to find more. At the very least use a sleek default background which means you don't appear to be you just hashed something together. The default history is better than a badly done custom background. 12.) Make following you valuable - Make it so folks have to follow you on Tweets to get some sort of offer about your service. Only online codes and discounts twitter. Twitter only blog updates. Only secret low down info twitter. Give a unique value. This ongoing is effective for retailers. Anyone can however apply this. For instance you can tweet a keyword rich hashtagged tweet and say all new followers before the end of the day get something free. 13.) Go to a Tweetup - Man I may have jumped off the geek deep end here, but this is a superb way to not only get more Twitter fans actually, but meet a lot of cool people also. For those who have no idea Tweetups are real-life in person (gasp) meetings of Twitter users. You could go bowling, do karaoke, or whatever. Some people even wear @username nametags. Odds are you are not going to be connected with everyone there. You're destined to get a few new supporters out of the deal. Take a notepad and make a list of people to follow. 14.) Hold a Random Contest - People like free stuff, particularly when they don't have to do anything to get it. An example is to offer a cool and inexpensive prize that will charm to your market to a arbitrary new follower over the time of weekly. Tweet about this a few times each day with different keywords and hashtags, post it on your blog, email signature, LinkedIn status, Facebook status, etc. You'll receive many people who just want the goodies, but if you target your bribe (prize) well you will also grab a bunch of new followers. This ongoing works best when can recruit some people to Retweet your contest for you. Think strategically when you're doing that one, and don't spend An excessive amount of on your bribe. 15.) Post a real picture of yourself - Unless you're in the business of deceiving your fans it helps to truly have a picture of yourself that depicts you for who you are. Spend a few minutes getting all prettied up take a picture designed for your Twitter profile. Don't crop a friend out of an image. Avoid your logo design, and do not use the default icon. Post a genuine picture of you! 16.) Fill out your profile completely - Probably the best way to get someone not to follow you is by having an incomplete profile. If you don't list anything in your profile people don't know what you do. All you need to do is fill out 160 characters. Fill up that sucker out and make sure it appeals to your market. This will have a big effect on your follower count. 17.) Guest Blog for Your Followers - This one can be really powerful actually. If you create content for individuals you follow you not only develop relationship with them on Twitter, but you can also get a backlink to your site, and take advantage of the retweeting of your article. Just make sure you get a Twitter name added to the post with a link to check out you if you're heading to do it free of charge. Learn more info Social Media Marketing SocialBoosts
